Before Care

  • No tanning 1 week before treatment. You cannot come to your appointment with a sunburn. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the tattoo pigment with it.

  • Do not take any blood-thinning medication (Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, or Ibuprofen) for a minimum of 3 days prior to treatment.

  • Stop using skin thinners (vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to treatment.

  • To avoid excess bleeding, no alcohol or caffeine 2 days prior to treatment.

  • No waxing, threading, tweezing, or tinting 3 days before the treatment. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least two weeks.

  • Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

  • No botox or filler 1 month prior to treatment.

  • No antibiotics 2 months prior.

  • Please wear the normal makeup you wear daily so we can see what your normal routine is!

After Care

  • During the first day, continuously blot the area with clean tissue to get any lymph off.

  • For the first week, clean the area twice a day (morning and night). Using your fingertips, gently wash the tattooed area with a gentle cleanser. Do not use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants. Pat dry with a clean tissue or paper towel. Apply a very thin layer of the ointment provided with a cotton swab.

  • Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, pools, long hot showers, and sweaty exercise.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3 weeks after the procedure.

  • Avoid facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

Healing Process

Day 1: The color will look bold. The area might be red and tender.

Day 2: Eyebrows look very dark, reddish, and appear thicker in texture.

Day 3 - 4: Same as day 2 but a little lighter.

Day 5: Starting to itch, still reddish. You may poke but do not scratch the area.

Day 5-7: Skin will start flaking and there might be some peeling.

Day 7-10: Color finishes flaking off. The color will appear light with missing spots. Hair strokes may appear “blurry”.

Day 14 - 21: Color and definition will start to reappear.

Day 30: Healing is complete and the eyebrows should look very natural and soft.

How many treatments are required?

The majority of our clients require 2 treatments to have their brows perfected. Touch-up appointments can be made 6-8 weeks after your first visit.

Am I a good candidate for microblading?

Microblading is not for everyone! Your age, your type of skin, your sensitivity, and the quality of your skin all come into the equation when pre-determining the safety and effectiveness of microblading. Examples of skin that is not great for MICROBLADING: aging skin, fragile skin, skin that has no elasticity, and oily skin with large pores. If you are not sure if microblading is for you, feel free to book a complimentary consultation and we will be happy to find the right brow service for you.
